The best thing to do this summer is to take your kid on a trip. I doubt it matters where you go or how much you spend. What matters is that one on one time, the bonding, the adventure, and of course the memories. Most of you know that we are expecting our third child at the end of this summer. Having a third child really got me thinking (stressing!) about all kinds of things. Besides financial health, spending one on one time with my kids is a major concern. That got me thinking about doing a quick trip with each of them. I won’t being doing that with the little guys for a few years but a trip with Ramona was overdue. We kept it short but we packed a lot into it.
I gave Ram a few options that were close and she settled on Silver Dollar City. We packed in a ton of stuff. We did SDC, swam in the hotel pool, had a steak dinner, did Ripley’s Believe It Or Not, played arcade games, and went for ice cream. We slept like babies and woke up hungry, so I got her the biggest pancake in Missouri. It was such a great time being with my girl. Being able to give her 100% of my attention and her doing the same was awesome. I am looking forward to doing it again next year.
