Busy B

I know Ramona is only six months old but I am truly already missing things she did during her first three months. The biggest of all those is her sleeping on my chest! I can’t get her to sit still long enough to fall asleep now unless she is in her crib. Monday I found myself a bit jealous. We had a doctors visit and had to get those vaccination shots. Ramona was drowsy from the tylenol and we decided a family nap was in order. Ram fell asleep on Kelly’s chest. It was not for a long period of time, but it was long enough for me to first realize that I wanted that and then for me to feel the envy. Being a dad can be hard on the emotions.

Believe it or not my little girl still has not figured out this crawling thing. It is probably for the best because I do not have a crawling baby proof house yet! We did get a swing set delivered yesterday, thank you Uncle Gene. Now we just need to put it together. Being a dad is hard work.

Ram’s best friend, Aunt Katie, came over yesterday and the girls had a pool party! Ramona is a big fan of all things water. Splashing is her specialty but she also knows how to kick back and relax in the pool. I think with the addition of the kiddie pool and the swing set, this summer is going to be a blast.

We have added meat to Ramona’s diet. She has had chicken a couple of times with mixed reviews. She seemed to really like it warm but not so much cold. I can understand that. She has been doing really good with everything else. We are expanding her pallet with new items just about every week. I have to say it is fun to watch her experience new foods. Its fun just watching her. Being a dad is amazing.
