January 16, 2014. Already half way through the first month of 2014. I have much to do to be where I want to be by 2015. The good thing about being a dad is I have some serious motivation driving me. I have always been driven but Ramona is like jet fuel, ethanol free of course.
We have been taking advantage of the nice weather the past couple days. Monday we made a trip to the zoo and we are finding out how different life is with a one year old compared to a baby. This little girl wants to do it herself. Even as a baby we knew she was independent but now that she knows she is capable she is persistent in doing it herself. It was a trying day to say the least. The smiles and laughter in between all the fits still make it worth it! Oh and I did not mention how stinking strong she is. If that girl doesn’t want in her stroller good luck getting her in it, same can be said for the car seat. As much of a pain this all can be, it is these characteristics that made me fall in love with Ram’s mother. Persistent, independent, the do it myself mentality, and of course the borderline crazy! I love my girls more than words can express.
January seems to be birthday central in our circle. Ramona had the pleasure of celebrating birthdays for friends and cousins this past week. I am pretty sure she doesn’t mind all the frosting!
Remember it don’t mean a thing if you ain’t got that swing.
